Burette silk liners (soft, knitted) have soothing and protective properties and can be used in case of temporary irritation and redness of the skin, mainly used for the bottom of newborns, but also to heal the skin of adults who wear diapers.
Burette silk is obtained from the cocoon of the silkworm when the metamorphosis into a butterfly has already occurred and the worm has already pierced the cocoon to exit. During the process of metamorphosis, the worm secretes a protective substance with healing properties which remains impregnated with the cocoon. Usually to obtain the silk thread the cocoons are boiled to kill the worms before they pierce the cocoon: in fact, coming out of the cocoon they irretrievably break the silk thread with which it is wrapped, making spinning difficult and less valuable.
Use: place the burette silk liner on the diaper in contact with the skin and leave for a few hours.
Washing: delicate by hand in cold water or max 30°C with detergent for wool / silk.
