Baby carriers and slings

A quality sling is not exactly cheap, I know, but if you use all its potential, it is a purchase that greatly improves the quality of life of the mother and child, whether it is the first child, and – even more so – if there are brothers. If you have difficulty in using it, you can contact a competent and specialized person (the so-called “carrying consultants” or “baby wearing consultants”): for example, if you use it but you have a back pain, it is probably not tied in the right way.  Babylonia Mei Tai

Mei Tai is made of 100% organic cotton and is made in a fair trade workshop in India (more information about the project).

Features: rigid fabric horizontally and vertically, but stretched diagonally, weaved by frame. In summer it is cooler to wear than the long sling and easier to use on the back. Simple and immediate to tie: the short sling tie at the waist and the long ones cross behind the back if you carry the child in front, or on the chest if you use as a backpack. The weight shared over a single shoulder makes it less comfortable for the carrier in long trips. I recommend it as a second sling for the moments when it is necessary to put and remove the child frequently and for those who want to start using a sling with a child who already crawls or walks.
